Above All Love Each Other Deeply
Today’s Verses
Key verse: I Peter 4:8 – “Above all, love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins.”
1. We need to stay alert so that we can pray since Christ is coming soon.
I Peter 4:7 – “The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.”
Revelation 22:12 – “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.”
2. The Lord wants us to love others as he loves us. His unconditional love covers over many sins.
I Peter 4:8 – “Above all, love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins.”
I John 4:7 - “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God, Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God, because God is love.”
I John 4:8-9 – “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.”
3. One way of showing our love is to offer hospitality to others without complaining.
I Peter 4:9 – “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.”
Romans 12:13 - “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
4. Another way to show our love is to use our gifts to serve others.
I Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
I Corinthians 12:7 – “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
5. Whenever we speak we should use the very words of God.
I Peter 4:11 – “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
